We’re excited to bring back the À l’Attaque format for 2026

With the Men’s, Women’s, and Foldies categories returning this year, we’re not only expanding the Men’s category to three divisions, but also introducing an exciting new race format: the Team Time Trial. This closed-circuit, high-speed challenge is designed for amateur riders looking to experience the thrill of the Tour de France EFGH Singapore Criterium

The Race

Set on the iconic 2.45km Singapore Criterium circuit, each category will feature tactical, fast-paced racing. Riders must combine strategy, pack awareness, and timing to cross the finish line first.

  • Races begin with a neutral lap led by a motorcycle, followed by a mass-start under the Start/Finish gantry.
  • Duration varies by category, with all races designed for high engagement and spectator excitement.

Eligibility

  • UCI Race Licence optional (Singapore riders via SCF; overseas riders via their national federation).
  • The Tour de France EFGH Singapore Criterium welcomes riders of different experience levels, from recreational cyclists to competitive racers. For riders participating in the À l’Attaque race categories, a valid UCI Race Licence is required if you wish to be officially classified under Singapore Cycling Federation (SCF) rankings and compete under sanctioned race regulations.
  • A UCI Race Licence provides:
  • Official participation in a sanctioned cycling competition
  • Eligibility for SCF ranking points and classification
  • Rider insurance coverage as provided under the licence scheme
  • Compliance with UCI and SCF racing regulations
  • Recognition of race results within the national cycling framework
  • Riders who do not hold a UCI Race Licence may still participate but they will not be eligible for:
  • Official classification and results
  • SCF ranking points
  • Podium placings and championship recognition
  • National ranking consideration

Race Format

  • Circuit: 2.45km per lap
  • Start: Mass start after 1 neutral lap
  • Finish: First across the line wins
  • Riders at risk of being lapped may be withdrawn at the commissaires’ discretion

Race Requirements & Conduct

  • Mandatory: Helmet, two body bibs, and one bike number displayed at all times
  • Equipment restrictions: No earpieces or communication devices; cameras allowed only on handlebars or under the saddle
  • Conduct: No littering; follow all instructions from race officials; UCI regulations apply, overseen by SCF-appointed commissaires.
